Birthplace: Mae Jam District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand

MY STORY

Hello, my name is Mopona.
For many years, I worked as a logging elephant in the forests of northern Thailand. The forest became my home, and I learned every winding trail, every towering tree, and every peaceful corner where I could rest beneath the shade.
Although my work was physically demanding, I never lost my gentle spirit. I have always preferred quiet places where I can walk slowly, listen to birds singing, and enjoy the calm rhythm of nature.
Today, my life has changed. At Rantong Elephant Centre, I no longer work. Instead, I spend my days walking freely, searching for my favourite foods, resting whenever I choose, and enjoying a peaceful life surrounded by people who care deeply about my wellbeing.
Every day reminds me that kindness can change a life.
